Testimony from Earth Sheltered Home Owner:
My relationship with Ralph Smoot began about six months before building began. It was strictly by internet with occasional phone calls. Ralph was very patient, as I had a great number of concerns; this is a rather large and costly undertaking. All communications were businesslike, but friendly. I had been speaking with Ralph and two other builders of Earth Sheltered homes, but due to Ralph's sincerity and patience, I chose him to build my house.
Everything that Ralph said he would do, he did, and did it in a very timely manner. The entire shell was finished in 25 days. On the job, he was exactly the same as before he arrived. He took time to answer all my questions in detail, some many times over. He was never too busy for me.
His work crew was extremely efficient. They worked very hard until the task at hand was completed and definitely knew what they were doing. In short, I am very pleased that Ralph was able to begin my home and sure that I will be very pleased with the end result. This type of home is new to me, but I can't wait to be living in such an efficient and comfortable environment.
In closing, I might add that this home will be totally off the grid, and the hydronic heating will be completely solar-driven. Our old house was also off the grid.
